GREETINGS FROM TEXAS

SWASFAA Texas Delegate
It is the beginning of a new year with all the
challenges that come with it. TASFAA is preparing for some of
these challenges by continuing to work on the strategic mission,
vision and goals for the association. This will be an ongoing
project.
The TG conference will be held April 3 -5 in Austin, Texas. The
conference promises to have something for everyone based on the
agenda which can be obtained at www.tgslc.org/tgconference/agenda.c/m.
The New Aid Officers Workshop will be held in San Antonio May
21-24 and there will be 11 Spring Regional Training sessions held
throughout the state starting on March 28th. For more information

TASFAA will have its fall conference on Galveston Island October
3-5.
On a sad note, TASFAA and the entire financial aid community
lost a friend in Ismael Talavera from Southwest Texas Jr. College.
He was one of the first persons I met in TASFAA. I will never
forget the help he gave this rookie some eighteen years ago. He
will be missed.
